The Big Pedal is already halfway there for this year with the first week down and the second week to start tomorrow.
If you’re not aware of it, The Big Pedal is an annual inter-school competition, ran by Sustrans, across the UK that encourages pupils, teachers and parents to opt for two wheeled transport to school. Everyone can either cycle or scoot, with journeys being counted (across different school size categories) with prizes up for grabs for the winners.
The aim is to encourage cycling and scooting as alternative ways to get to school. Not only is it cheaper, healthier and better for the environment – it’s more fun!
If you school has not already joined you may still be in with a chance to participate in the next challenge day on Friday March 14th.
